Hi Folks,
It took some doing but we have finally broke through the 2000 barrier for tools listed here which is no mean feat when they are constantly being sold (I’m not complaining by the way). We have been listing all year and the number of tools fluctuated up and down as they sell but after much effort we have hit the target set at the beginning of the year.
How long we maintain this level of tools listed is yet unknown, however we will now try to maintain it at least this much for the rest of the year before taking on the challenge of growing the target next year.
It’s hard to believe but most listings have between 6 & 12 images so even at an average of 9 per listing that’s approx 18,000 images taken, edited and uploaded to the website. That’s not counting the number required for the sold products. No wonder we needed a big server to accommodate all this!
The banter in this place starts in the workshop when the boys are refurbishing the tools which then transfers to Joanne who does the photo’s, us describing the tools then back Joanne again to list them.
Banter examples that get used here are:
‘Haven’t you done that yet?’ delivered with a shake of the head.
‘In your own time’ delivered with extreme sarcasm.
Lunch? Didn’t you have any breakfast? delivered with the defining tut.
‘Why do you want a day off? You took one off last Christmas!’ delivered with utter shock
‘Yes boys it’s perfectly normal to work 16 hrs per day’ said whilst nodding.
Joanne you don’t know how lucky you are! Delivered with an exit strategy firmly established!
