Well 2016 has come around and January has gone in a flash probably because things are so busy here behind the scenes at Tooltique.
We have finally got round to loading the website and have been photographing tools and listing them like mad just so we have a good array of stock for people to view. There is a good selection of chisels although this will improve over time and we have worked hard refurbishing a selection of planes to hold in stock at all times plus many other tools. It looks like it’s going to be a mission getting all our stock in the site but I guess we have to start somewhere and it will improve over time.
For those don’t know too much about us can read more here.
Last year we worked primarily on developing the layout of the workshop to maximise the space, we have and struck a deal with UPS to improved the shipping costs for mainland UK customers, it now only costs a maximum of £5.50 regardless of your order size. Hopefully as sales rise for overseas customers we hope to agree a better rate for them also.
Our plans this year relate to making life easier for customers and the website will be a good start, later in the year we also intend to re-open a physical shop here in Norwich where customers can visit.
In the website I also intend to add some articles covering different topics relating to a variety of trades and tools that may be of interest to both tradesmen and collectors. Some topics will relate to potential ideas and things seen whilst out and about when buying that may be of interest to those with certain skills.
If there is anything you think would enhance the website please let me know.
Regards Steve
