I have just taken delivery of Record no 4 and 5 planes. I had hoped they would be good; I was wrong: They are superb! Having renovated a few I know the work required to get a plane half way as good as these. A real credit to you. I can see no reason to look elsewhere in future for tools. I shall be back.

I received my Record no.4 plane and 0220 block plane today and have already utilised them in a small project I’ve been working on. I’ve been doing woodwork for years but have never used either a smoothing plane or block plane until today. Both planes worked well and the no.4 is a treat to use and looks great. Your website was easy to navigate and is brilliantly displayed with good photography. The planes arrived well packed and secure, so I was happy to know they were safe in travel. Thanks and I’ll maybe be looking into more antique tools soon. Daniel.

Great to meet with you and chat about all things woodworking tools really enjoyed it. You have a wealth of knowledge which is far surpasses my own but we certainly share the same passion for the subject. As I said I have looked at many sellers of so called vintage hand tools and none of them approach your standard of quality and finish. I will certainly be recommending your company to any fellow enthusiasts. I wish you and your boy’s every success in launching the new shop later this year.
I hope you don’t think me forward But please would you keep me in mind for any opportunity regards assisting and promoting your brand in the future as I know there are many thousands of fellow tools nuts out there that attend the many woodworking events around the country each year.
They would welcome the chance to see and touch the work that Tooltique produces rather than just view it on the internet. The net is good but as we discussed the other evening it has it’s pit falls, there is no substitute for being able to pick up the tool and examine the quality that you and your son’s put into every item. Just keep doing what you are doing as your quality speak’s for it’s self and the gospel will eventually spread that there is only one place to go for good quality restored hand tools. Norwich was once renown for producing quality Planes and with your product I think it could once again be a center of excellence.
As we discussed please keep me in mind if a really good quality little used Disston Tenon or panel saw comes in and keep an eye out for my 12″ rule as well if you would. That’s about it for now, thanks again.
