If you didn’t know already these USA Philadelphia Saws by Henry Disston were of the highest quality and regarded by most as the best saw ever produced. Legendary would be a good way to describe these saws which was never quite equaled by later Disston saws.
This example has barely been used in it’s time and came in with some light surface rust which left the fleck marks you can see and odd small areas of pitting (minor) but would definitely benefit from some use. In all it’s rare to find these with so much life left in them. The blade measures 14″ long and is 4 2/3″ depth including brass back.
