Rare Boxed Hobbies No: 1 Cast Steel Block Plane – VGC
It’s rare to find one in its original box but this Hobbies plane has benefited from it as it’s in lovely condition. Not a well known as other manufacturers such as Griffiths or Frost in Norwich, this company based in Dereham, Norfolk operated as a model makers supplier from 1895 and these planes were introduced in the early 1950’s. Generally these are found without the box and tatty condition but this one as you can see is exceptional and as you can expect can’t be compared to the others. Hobbies has its place in history and this plane would compliment a collection for this very reason.
