Most new woodworkers will be surprised to hear these old spokeshaves are surprising good to use and will cut away surplus material away very quickly. This particular example is better than most with the brass front plate to reduce wear and the thickness of the shave is adjustable. This is a lesser common type of spokeshave and are becoming more and more difficult to find.
