Description
Scarce 1903 The Modern Carpenter Joiner and Cabinet-Maker set of 8 No: books. This is an extensive guide to carpentry and woodwork, edited by G. Lister Sutcliffe who died in 1915 who was an Arts and crafts architect and author of other architectural publications. The books also include many contributions but notably also from Frank Tiffany and A. Mackintosh.
The books are illustrated throughout with chapters on architectural styles, general use of hardwoods, timber-growing areas, tools, and much more.
The condition is good throughout but as can be expected from a set of books over 100 years old they do have signs of use whilst the spine has some wear to the ends seen clearly in the images. These books are larger in size than the later reprints.
